BBC News - Users report 'fault' on iPhone 4
By Nick Flaherty www.flaherty.co.uk
As ever, Apple is great at the 'smart', not so good on the 'phone' bit of 'smartphone' - remember the poor reception and battery life of the original iPhone?
It is not so much a fault as poor design (hush my mouth for saying that about Apple, but it's true!) with the antenna at the bottom left of the handset, so covered up when you hold the phone. Using the casing as the antenna also means reception changes when you hold it too. Apple is still learning what makes a good phone design, but that doesn't dent the success, but this is a design fault that has shown up within hours of the launch.
